About the event
Join Philadelphia-based artist Jordan Plain for an in-depth conversation about SIGNS: Design as Art, a layered multimedia project that transforms public art into design objects and design into art. Through posters, poetry, and experimental applications, the project blurs the boundaries between everyday design and fine art, asking audiences to reconsider where one ends and the other begins.
The talk will be hosted and moderated by Drew Johnson, photographer and founder of Homies Helping Homies, a community-based mutual aid organization in Philadelphia. Together, Jordan and Drew will explore themes of accessibility, storytelling, and the role of design as a tool for connection and expression.
The afternoon will also feature a wine pouring by Mural City Cellars, adding to the atmosphere of conversation and community.
